Oahu's Kanaka Ikaika racing series is the ultimate proving ground for any outrigger design. With relatively few canoes on the water the Hurricane placed in the top 3 in nearly every division in both the Ka'iwi Challenge Relay and the 2000 Molo Solo Challenge.
