The canvas body is made from nylon with a waterproof coating on the inside. It is available in two weights of fabric. The lighter 400D Nylon is ideal for those who will be using the canvas primarily for racing and are concerned with keeping things light. The more durable 600D Nylon is more rugged and longer lasting. All high stress areas are double reinforced to guard against wear and Damage.
Heavy duty Vinyl scuff pads are sewn along each side of the canvas in front of each seat to protect the canvas. These pads also provide a visual target for water changes and provide grip. Additionally, they reinforce the hoop attachments.
The welt is made from abrasion resistant Dacron to help prevent it from snagging and tearing on the aluminum track. In the event that it does tear, the welt can be replaced.
The front of the cover fits snugly over the splash guard. The back is fitted with 'D' rings and a strap for tensioning around manu.
The patterns for the canvas were designed using CAD and the patterns were laser cut to ensure a perfect fit. The sewing is done by a sail making factory using specialized equipment. All materials were carefully selected for both quality and applicability.
The canvas comes complete in a zippered carry case with hoops and rigging and care instructions.
