Michael Giblin

Michael moved to Hawaii in 1991 and joined Hawaiian Canoe Club. He paddled competitively until 2004, and continues to paddle for recreation.

Maui Fiberglass was originally a partnership, with David Ward, and later Matt Fullard-Leo. Through attrition Michael became the sole owner and the company name was changed to Outrigger Zone.

Michael is reponsible for the direction and product development of the company.

Brian Dalbey

Brian's career path mirrored Michael's, but in surf and windsurf manufacturing. Brian started building boards in the late eighties. He was a partner in Sailworks, and later a partner in Board Works, managing the factory in Slovakia.

He joined Ozone in January to replace Bernie as the factory manager.

Brian is responsible for management of the factory.

Wendy Giblin

Wendy has worked as a buyer in retail most of her life. She started working in high school in her family's surf shop

She left her job to be a stay-at-home mom, but has taken over much of the responsibilty for the operations of Ozone.

Wendy is responsible for accounting and customer relations.

Berhard Brandstatter

Bernie's competed as a professional windsurfer and was selected for the Austrian olympic team. He became more interested in the equipment than in the sport, and pioneered CNC foiled fins. He worked for Mistral managing their windsurf board production in Malaysia, and for North Sails, managing their production in Sri Lanka.

Bernie was instrumental in building our R&D department, and developing our processes. He resigned at the end of last year due to heath problems, but continues to work with us to implement new projects.
